Research
University of Illinois UC | Research Assistant | Stillwell Research Group
June 2021-Present
• Developing techno-economic assessment (TEA) and life-cycle assessment (LCA) models for electrocatalytic co-conversion of point source captured CO2 and low-value regional feedstocks (glycerol, furfural, HMF, hexene, etc) to value-added chemicals and fuels.
• The models utilize data science techniques and incorporate temporal and geospatial data including the electricity and water infrastructures, feedstocks, and CO2 point sources at the USA county level to provide a framework for the implementation of the technology and where it will have the greatest impact.
• Project is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and requires regular cross departmental collaboration.
Sempra LNG & Midstream | 2016 - 2018
• Port Arthur LNG & Pipeline: Conducted extensive research on Southwestern Louisiana environmental, economic, social, land use, and public resource impacts of liquified natural gas (LNG) and natural gas pipeline projects utilizing desktop and infield methods. Authored detailed quantitative and qualitative assessment-based Resource Reports submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Selected Industry Experience
Process Safety/Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer | ExxonMobil | Houston, TX
• Supported four Guyana Venture Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Projects simultaneously across
all project scopes: topsides, marine, SURF (subsea, umbilical, riser, and flowlines), and installation on Risk and
Process Safety activities.
• Led a flare and greenhouse gas emissions reduction initiative that resulted in a more than 30% reduction of emissions
for an offshore FPSO project. Results of the study were incorporated into future facility designs to create a lasting
impact.
• Facilitated Risk Assessments, Hazard Identifications (HAZIDs), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), and was
responsible for conducting pre-work, ensuring venture alignment of 2,000+ risk items with corporate risk.
• Developing techno-economic assessment (TEA) and life-cycle assessment (LCA) models for electrocatalytic co-
conversion of point source captured CO2 and low-value regional feedstocks (glycerol, furfural, HMF, hexene, etc) to value-added chemicals and fuels.

Sempra LNG & Midstream | 2016 - 2018
• Port Arthur LNG & Pipeline: Conducted extensive research on Southwestern Louisiana environmental, economic,
social, land use, and public resource impacts of liquified natural gas (LNG) and natural gas pipeline projects utilizing

submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Environmental Advisor/Inspector/Engineer | Sempra LNG & Midstream | Houston, TX
• Managed, coordinated, and assisted in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulated pipeline and
Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facility activities under Section 3 and Section 7 from the initial project development phase
to application, permitting, construction, commissioning, post-commissioning inspections, and compliance.
• Prepared and conducted research for extensive environmental, social, and public resource impact reports for FERC
applications, and supported efforts with internal team members to ensure high-quality submissions, thus promoting
timely approvals.
• Developed specific knowledge pertaining to US regulation CFR 193 Subpart b and Industry-standard NFPA 59a.
Managed hazard analyses for the Cameron LNG and Port Arthur LNG projects.
• Managed 8 field survey contractors and oversaw field survey efforts to ensure safety, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
Trained 500+ construction crew members to promote a high standard of safety and environmental compliance
throughout project construction.

Field Engineer/Environmental Inspector | Sempra U.S. Gas & Power | Lake Charles, LA
• Responsible for maintaining and exceeding national, state, and local environmental compliance as well as being a
support in engineering and design of gas transmission pipelines, meter stations, compressor stations, and gas storage
facilities.
• Managed and coordinated all company employees and contractors' construction activity and permitting and
compliance for a gas storage facility project. Reviewed subcontractors' draft air emissions permit applications and
reports before sending to the EPA to ensure accurate reporting.

Operations Engineer | Bayswater Exploration and Production | Denver, CO
• Conducted preliminary design of an oil and gas well's production facility in Sweetwater County, WY on Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) land. Analyzed reservoir characteristics in F.A.S.T. WellTest software based on well
flowback data to generate production curves. Based on the curves, I used wellpad design parameters to size
production equipment and establish preliminary designs for a one-mile long, 500 ft. elevation drop pipeline
connection. Managed and wrote applications for right-of-way (ROW) permitting for BLM land use.
